Otha C. Faller, who has been critically ill with influenza for several days, died at two on Wednesday afternoon at his home on E. Green St. He was born near Roachdale in Sept. 1888 and was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ed Faller, now of Centerton. He married Miss Verna Gaugh, Feb 2, 1908. They have two children: Bernice, 7 years old and Otha Jr two months old. They formerly lived on a farm near Ladoga but moved here 8 years ago and since which time Mr. Faller has worked for the Central Indiana. Mrs. Faller and the little daughter are both ill with the influensa. - kbz

Waveland, Nov 7 – Influenza claimed its second victim from this city Tuesday when Otha C. Faller, 30 years old died at his home here at 2 o’clock from pneumonia. The death terminated an illness of 10 days originating with influenza. His wife and daughter, Bernice, seen years old are also very low suffering from influenza. The epidemic is worse here than it has been for some time. 45 persons of this place are suffering from the disease while four are at the point of death. Mr. Faller was born near Roachdale Sept 1888, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Faller. He was married to Miss Verna Gauge of Roachdale Feb 2, 1908. He moved here eight years ago and since that time has been employed as a brakeman with Central Indiana RR. He had been a faithful employee of this company and his employers stated that they regretted his loss to the company. He was liked by all who worked with him or knew him and known as a man with good character. He is survived by his parents, who now live at Centerton, Indiana, his wife, one daughter Bernice and a son, Otha Jr two months old. - kbz
